Referrals
Please call the office to make an appointment once your healthcare practitioner has advised you to see an Ear, Nose and Throat surgeon. Referrals can also be made by fax. Please ensure your details are available on the faxed referral for us to contact you. What to Bring
You will receive and SMS or a phone call a few days prior to your appointment, please reply to this to confirm that you will be attending. If you have any unforeseen circumstances that prevent you from attending your appointment please call to reschedule. Parking There is ample free parking outside the surgery in Gertrude Place Other information When making an appointment you will be given an estimate for the cost of the consultation. The total cost of the consultation will depend on special examinations during the consultation such as, but not limited to, endoscopy, microscopy or hearing tests. You will be able to claim a portion of this fee back from medicare. Consultations and minor surgeries are undertaken at the clinic, however procedures requiring sedation or general anaesthesia are carried out in a hospital setting. For cosmetic procedures, photography is carried out and further time is allocated for in depth discussion prior to surgery. We advise that you register your bank details with medicare in order to streamline the refund process after paying for your consultation on the day. At the conclusion You will be asked to checkout with the reception staff who will book any further appointments for you and help you with any tests that have been ordered. If surgery has been recommended, the admission process will be explained to you and the relevant documentation will need to be completed. |
